On November 21, 2009 a work party of 11 people showed up early to help in the
construction of the new play park located in Fremont’s Central Park. Thanks to
funding provided by Kristi Yamaguchi’s Always Dream Foundation, the park will
soon be completed. The Olympic Gold Medallist in figure skating was one of the
members of the early-morning work party. Thanks to volunteers from the
Fremont Firefighters and others, two full pallets of concrete were mixed and
poured to set the posts that will comprise the umbrella structures and other parts
of the park. It was a memorable event in
which everyone there got the opportunity to
meet Kristi and her family. For more
